He stands alone, unsmiling, his eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses. He wears simple clothing — T-shirts, jeans and other everyday staples. He never speaks, but he holds up large pieces of cardboard on which he’s written in marker everything that he needs to say.
“Charging $15 for a bowl of lettuce should be illegal,” says one. “Nobody cares which Disney character you are,” says another, referring to a popular Instagram filter. More recently, as the world’s social media style influencers have been forced to stay indoors amid the spread of COVID-19 along with the rest of us, he wrote, “Stop posting your home workouts.”
